Problem Statement
In today's fast-paced world, people normally seek convenience when purchasing everyday essentials like bread. Traditional bakeries often lack an online presence, requiring customers to visit physical stores or rely on calling the seller for phone orders. Even in some countries, parents will have to send their kids to grocery shops to get these items and even in some cases will have to go to the shops themselves if they unfortunately do not have kids of their own. This can lead to issues such as limited availability, long waiting times, and a lack of transparency regarding pricing and options.
User Perspective
Customers and bread buyers want a seamless way to browse, select, and purchase bread from their favorite bakery without unnecessary delays, wait time or confusion. Based on the above perspective of users, we observe that they expect to have a smooth digital experience where they can:
- Easily explore available bread options (e.g., whole wheat, sourdough, baguettes).
- View clear pricing and descriptions of each bread product.
- Place an order quickly and securely through an intuitive interface.
- Choose delivery or pickup options based on their preference.
- Receive order updates to track their purchase status.
Some Potential Obstacles
- Lack of user-friendly navigation, leading to frustration in finding products.
- Unclear product descriptions or unavailability of stock information.
- Complicated checkout process resulting in abandoned carts.
- Limited payment options may not cater to all users.
- Poor mobile optimization, affecting users accessing the site via smartphones.
This project aims to design an intuitive and accessible user interface that enhances the online bread-buying experience, ensuring a smooth and satisfying interaction from product selection to purchase.
